Description

Since making its debut back in 2002, the RIU Explorers Conference has grown from strength to strength to become one of Australia’s most popular investment forums. The conference has earned a reputation as the major Australian forum for the junior resources sector, with mineral exploration companies and emerging new miners attracting an ever-growing group of brokers, fund managers and investors to hear their presentations.

The 2013 conference starts off the Australia Resources Conference year with renewed hope and confidence after the share market success of Sirius Resources. In 2012 Sirius Resources’ share price soared 679 per cent when it intercepted nickel and copper in Western Australia's Fraser Range. The discovery, known as Nova, sparked plenty of interest, despite the lagging nickel market.

Vertical Events is expecting up to 850 delegates this year with all 50 exhibition booths sold out.

Key presenters at this year’s conference include:

•    Hon. Norman Moore MLC - Minister for Mines and Petroleum, Government of Western Australia
•    Ian Mulholland – Managing Director, Rox Resources
•    Nathan McMahon – Managing Director, Cazaly Resources
•    Les Davis – Managing Director, Silverlake Resources
•    Alistair Cowden – Managing Director, Altona Mining
•    Neil Marston – Managing Director, Horseshoe Metals
•    Dr Mark Bennett – Managing Director, Sirius Resources
•    Rob Tyson – Managing Director – Peel Resources

In addition to the presenting auditorium and exhibition area, the conference will host a second technical auditorium. Sponsored by rOREdata, the technical auditorium will cover new technologies within the Exploration and Mining industries, and will also look at issues affecting Explorers and Miners within Australia and in dealing with overseas destinations.

All attendees at the RIU Explorers Conference will receive morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch held on site in the exhibition area.
