China Yunnan Copper has commenced drilling at the Pentland gold-copper project in North East Queensland, 100km west of Charters Towers.
The project is a joint venture between China Yunnan and Brisbane explorer ActivEX, a marriage which only came about earlier this year in January.
The Pentland Project is known for intrusive related gold/copper styles and significant gold production has been achieved in the past from deposits in the region.
The drilling program will consist of three diamond holes for about 1200m of core at two prospects - Mt Remarkable and Norwood.
