Western Plains Resources has wrapped up the drilling program at its flagship Peculiar Knob DSO iron ore project south of Coober Pedy in South Australia.
The program comprised five large diameter (PQ) cored holes and five RC percussion holes for a total of 1498m.
Good intersections of massive high grade specular haematite were made in the diamond holes.
The mineralised core will be sent to a laboratory for assay and metallurgical testwork over the next few days.
