IMX Resources has reached a major milestone at its Cairn Hill magnetite copper project in South Australia.

The three millionth tonne of ore from Cairn Hill has been loaded on a ship at Port Adelaide destined for China.

The ship, called Piet, was loaded with 76,400 tonnes and is due to set sail next week.

IMX managing director Neil Meadows said it was a significant occasion for the company.

“The implementation of cost reduction initiatives earlier this year and maintaining our targeted shipping rate has enabled the operation to sustain positive cash flow for the company,” he said.

“We look forward to continued success at Cairn Hill.”
