TNG Limited has appointed leading global engineering and environmental consulting group GHD to complete the Environmental Impact Study (EIS) for its flagship Mount Peake Vanadium-Titanium-Iron Project in the Northern Territory.
Field studies will commence immediately to capture data from the current wet season activity, and the completed EIS is expected to be submitted to the Northern Territory Environment Protection Authority during Q1 2014.
GHD is one of the world’s leading engineering and environmental consulting companies and has an extensive working knowledge of the Northern Territory environment, as well as a thorough understanding of the regulatory authority requirements and standards, making them ideally suited to undertake the Mount Peake EIS for TNG.
In conjunction with GHD, the study will be overseen by TNG’s recently appointed project director Tony Hadle as part of the overall feasibility and development of the Project.
TNG’s managing director Paul Burton said that the commencement of the EIS at Mount Peake was a significant milestone for the development of the project, and demonstrates the Company’s commitment to progressing the Project towards production to deliver shareholder value.
“The commissioning of an Environmental Impact Study is a key milestone that will continue to de-risk the Mount Peake Project development and move our flagship asset towards production,” he said.
