WorleyParsons wins oil sands contract PDF Print E-mail

WorleyParsons has been appointed by the Fort Hills mine to provide engineering services for the Canadian oil sands project.

The $140 million of work covers the detail engineering phase, ore preparation plant and extraction and tailings areas.

This award follows the completion of the EDS (define) phase of the project and work will begin immediately.

The Fort Hills mine is jointly owned by Suncor Energy, Total E&P Canada. and Teck
Resources and is operated by Suncor Energy Operating.

“We are pleased that the Fort Hills Mine has chosen WorleyParsons for the next phase of this world-scale oil sands project,” said WorleyParsons CEO Andrew Wood.
