KALGOORLIE MINER

Experienced geologist David Hutton first saw the potential in the Spargos Reward gold mine while working for Breakaway Resources.

Now as the head of Adelaide-based Mithril Resources, Mr Hutton is behind a new exploration push at the historic mine after recently completing a tenement sale agreement with Breakaway for $200,000.

“I was with Breakaway Resources and Spargos Reward was always third cab off the rank,” Mr Hutton said.

“I saw the opportunity to get it working. It’s good for us to have a gold project close to the heart of gold mining in Kalgoorlie.

“A lot of our existing projects are in the Northern Territory and drilling is always affected by the wet season.”

Exploration resumed at Spargos Reward, 25km west of Kambalda, this week with 1300m of reverse circulation drilling planned to test the project’s extensional potential.
